Welcome to Allegiance Pediatrics

We know dealing with a terminal illness or end-of-life care for a child is one of life’s most challenging experiences. That’s why we offer a loving and supportive environment for your child and family. Our hospice services are designed to enhance the quality of life for children with life-limiting conditions, providing expert medical care, emotional support, and spiritual comfort.

PEDIATRIC HOSPICE is a specialized form of care providing comfort, support, and dignity to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. It is a holistic approach that addresses the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the child and the family, while also respecting their goals and preferences. Pediatric hospice care can be provided at home, in a hospital, or in a dedicated facility.

Pediatric hospice care is beneficial at any stage of a serious illness and can be provided concurrently with disease-directed therapies. This means children who are eligible for hospice care do not have to forego potentially life-prolonging treatments to receive comfort care. This option is known as the concurrent care hospice benefit, which was made available by the Affordable Care Act in 2010.

Providing Compassionate Care for Children and Families

At Allegiance Pediatrics, we believe your child’s journey should be filled with love, dignity, and comfort. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive hospice care, ensuring your child’s well-being, and supporting your family during difficult times. With compassionate hearts and specialized expertise, we strive to make every moment matter for your child.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO GIVE UP HOPE

With the Concurrent Care Benefit, you do not have to make the impossible choice between life-prolonging treatment and hospice care for your child. Medicaid and most private insurers pay for concurrent care, allowing your child to continue receiving curative or palliative treatment along with hospice care. Our team is committed to meeting your family’s needs, including concurrent care.

Better Patient and Family Outcomes

Research has proven that at any length of stay, hospice care benefits patients, family members, and caregivers, including increased satisfaction and quality of life, improved pain control, reduced physical and emotional distress, and reduced prolonged grief and other emotional distress.
